Regular Classes at Yoga Center

One of the main activities of our Yoga Center is regular classes, where one may practice yogic exercises in a company of likeminded people. Such classes give opportunity to concentrate completely on process of yoga, which is much more difficult to achieve when you are performing exercises just at home. Due to this reason group practice gives maximum benefit and is very pleasant too. During the class special subtle atmosphere of  introspection and joy is created as we penetrate inwards and aspire to come in touch with our deeper self. Asanas (yogic excersises) render deep and salutary influence on our body and psyche, they give enormous amount of vital energy. Everyone who has attended these classes remembers well that special feeling of being filled with lightness, and perceiving the world like being opening up to reveal all its subtle details and colours, feeling of freshness as if one has the very first encounter with this life and the world - regained luxury of  child's perception. 

 

Such atmosphere is prepossessing to friendly conversation, socializing, making friends and for this reason the class sometimes goes on longer then it was planned (for those wanting to stay) ending with tea and cookies. :)

Session starts with warming up and stretching, where we are working our joints and ligaments thus preparing body to asanas. Then we do pendulum (exercise to introvert the mind), which is helpful for creation of appropriate mood and calms the mind. After that we do asanas, which are chosen in accordance with age and physical fitness of group participants. Usually they are simple and it does not take long to learn them. Already after first sessions people begin to feel their bodies more finely and start to understand subtle affect of these exercises. It is not difficult to do asana, but every time you find newer angles in one and the same exercise, something what was not felt before. If one is really able to concentrate and simultaneously relax, he or she is able to make a little discovery of his/her self, it does not matter how long one is practicing. Sometimes we variegate classes by using a special theme. For example, theme of the class may be "unity", "awareness", "love" etc. Students are asked to practice asanas and same time to ideate that everything around is ocean of Love and Peace, or student is asked to be aware of each of his/her movements, each of his/her feelings, to be here and now. After asanas auto massage is performed, it stimulates lymphatic  system and nerve endings and also helps to reabsorb special hormonal substances secreted by hypodermic glands. And after all students are going into deep relaxation with help of specially created visualisation.  

Official part of the class is ended with a short mediation. After that we discuss questions, share our impressions and simply chitchatting. Personally I feel that this part is no less beautiful then the first one. I see how people are changing, getting to know them better, and in other hand they have chance to know some details, which would not come up normally, to know more about our lifestyle. This kind of communication gives great pleasure and create somewhat family feeling, in the end, these very simple things are no less important for people.

1st group - Monday and Friday  - 18:30-20.30. (Group is partly formed, classes are going on. Still some space is there, you may join any time.)

2d group - Monday, Wednesday, Friday 14.00 - 16.00. (Group is being formed. Classes will start once we have 8 people.)
