The production of cartridges for small arms is the main and traditional activity of BMTP JSC. The production of ammunition began in 1869 when an order to open one of the first Russian cartridge plants was signed.
During World War I the plant was a supplier to the Russian Army. With the beginning of World War II (1941-1945) the plant relocated to Barnaul. The first echelon of ammunition was sent to the Soviet Army a month later. It is known that almost every second cartridge used by Soviet Forces during World War II was produced in the Barnaul factory. During its long history the enterprise has produced all types of military cartridges used by the Russian military forces.
As a result of decisive management and the implementing of conversion programmes toward the end of the 1980's and early 1990's the plant has now entered the new millennium with a full range of hunting cartridges.
Updating the cartridge production technology and enlarging the assortment of cartridges make JSC "BMTP" one of the Russian leaders in this field. At present the company has the high-performance cartridge production and presents a wide range of hunting, sporting rifle cartridges and shotgun cartridges. The above cartridges are manufactured with either a steel Zn-plated or steel lacquered case.
Terms of delivery and payment - BMTP JSC offers the opportunity to use either rail-freight or road transportation.
Form of payment varies from payment by cash, L/C, full or partial prepayment. Note that as of now, BMTP JSC is the only producer of hunting cartridges that offers its product on terms of consignment.
